Aftercare

  • Day 1 -

    • Absorb

    • Gently blot area with a clean tissue to absorb any fluid.

    Day 2-10 -

    • Wash & Moisturize

    • Wash- Use fingertips and a light touch to wash each day with unscented cleanser. Gently pat dry.

    • Moisturize- Apply rice grain size of aftercare up to 3 times a day across treated area. Do not over apply aftercare. Be sure tattoo is dry before moisturizing.

    • You will have a 10-14 day healing period. During this time, the skin will be scabbing and flaking. Please do not get this service done if you have a major event within those days. Expect the same healing process after your touchup 8 weeks after your initial visit.

    • You will not be allowed to wear makeup or skincare on or around the treated area for 10 days after the initial appointment. NO eyeshadow on the lid, all other makeup is approved as long as you avoid the newly tattooed area.

    • You can expect some redness and mild swelling with eyeliner. Be sure to have the day off to recover!

    • Results last 1-3 years depending on skin type, sun exposure, environmental factors and skincare routine.

    • You will notice significant color fading after healing the initial 10-14 days. Much like fresh skin under a scab, the skin has not had time to regenerate and will appear “white, pinkish and pale.” It will take another week or so for the melanin to reach the new skin and become truer to color. Just hang in there, there is a process to completion. You will come back 8-12 weeks after your initial appointment to receive your “perfecting appointment.” You will love them once they are fully healed!

  • Day 1-10:

    • Gently wash the area with unscented, antibacterial soap. Once completely dry, apply a thin layer of ointment. Apply ointment throughout the day as needed.

    • Remember, your lips need to stay moisturized during the healing stages.

Do not apply any makeup on or around the area until completely healed.

    • Day 1: Lips will be swollen and sensitive. Color will appear bright. Lips will produce lymphatic fluid that will need to be blotted throughout the day.

    • Day 2: Swelling will subside, and color will appear darker.

    • Days 3-4: Lips will become dry and start to flake. Keeping them moisturized with the provided ointment is important.

    • Days 5-7: The skin flakes away and your new lip color is revealed and begins to settle in. Your lips will appear about 40-50 percent lighter and more natural than what you see on days one and two.

    • Women who have lip fillers can get a lip blush tattoo. However, fillers should be done at least six weeks prior to the lip blush appointment for best results.

IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO REGULARLY GETS COLD SORES, I RECOMMENDS TAKING COLD SORE MEDICATION (LIKE VALTREX) THREE DAYS BEFORE AND THREE DAYS AFTER YOUR LIP BLUSH APPOINTMENT. THE PROCESS CAN TRIGGER AN OUTBREAK, AND COLD SORES MESS WITH THE HEALING PROCESS.

  • Day 1-10:

    • Gently wash the area with unscented, antibacterial soap. Once completely dry, apply a thin layer of ointment.

Do not apply any eye makeup on or around the area until completely healed.

  • Day 1:

    • Your eyeliner color will be about 30% darker than it will be when it’s healed. This is due to color oxidation and the swelling involved.

    Days 2-3:

    • Your color will darken as the pigment oxidizes and thin scabs will start to form.

    • You may be puffy, but you can remedy this using cold compression.

    Days 3-5:

    • Your eyeliner will begin flaking.

    • You want to allow scabbing to shed naturally. Once all scabbing has finished, it is common for the color to appear lighter than it will eventually heal.

    • This lighter color is temporary. Your freshly healed skin is hiding the true color underneath. Over the next several weeks your eyeliner color will brighten.

    Day 42:

    • At 6 weeks your eyeliner is fully healed.
